About this deal

Fimbo finds what looks like a bright pink sparkly hedgehog, but when it turns out to be bright pink sparkly wig he and Rockit decide it would be great fun to play a trick on Florrie and Pom - guess who's coming to tea? This allows for the soothing tones of Roly Mo to relax everyone with a story tailored to the found object. Particularly great is the fact that the same songs are sung each episode by the different characters ('When you take a look inside a book' and the 'Let's go and see' song), and I think this gives Emily something to recognise each time. The show's real star is left to last: the irrepressible Rockit the frog bounces all over the place causing chaos and hilarity simultaneously. I myself have developed a great affection for the Fimbles - I like to sing along with the songs, and my little nephew also likes to sing with me.

Within each episode, something is found by one of the three Fimbles (Fimbo, Florrie or baby Pom) who populate the Purple Meadow. The episodes themselves are pretty good and hold the attention of an 18 month old and even a 3 year old. Their surroundings are also very colourful but still bare a resemblance to the things that children may see around them.Suitcase, tambourine, and hoop are on the main menu whereas for some reason wind is listed in the features section.

Fimbles: Get The Fimbling Feeling - BBC Children's Classic - Educational - VHS Item Condition: Very Good Excellent Vintage VHS Cassette, Sleeve and Dust Case. The upside is that the Fimbles are appealing to the young audience and hold the attention from at least 18 months to 3 years. She is unfortunately quite annoying as the patronising matronly voice is rarely encouraging and can be quite grating. Hoop: Fimbo takes all of his friends on a bus journey around Fimble Valley, using his hoop as a pretend steering wheel.

They get the Fimbling Feeling which involves a bit of soft focus, a twitching of the nose, and their hair standing on end. The Fimbles are very appealing to children as they are brightly coloured, speak English clearly (except for Baby Pom), they play games and they sing songs. Pom does not always get things in the way the older ones do - a subtlety that may not always be obvious to the younger viewer. It's the perfect successor in many ways, featuring just a few more characters and situations to appeal to children beginning to form and follow words.I have a six-month old daughter who loves the Fimbles - whatever she's playing with when they come on is forgotten, and she sits or lies on her playmat and watches, completely spellbound.

Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). I'd certainly recommend this video to anyone with children - it's aimed at 3+, but Emily loves it, and my nephew is only two, so don't let the age recommendation put you off. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Jingly Hat : Baby Pom finds a hat with a jingly bell but can't keep it quiet during a game of hide and seek.Near the Tinkling Tree, they experience the excitement (Fimbling Feeling) of discovering something new and eagerly share it with their friends. His song about reading books is excellent and the story reading session in each episode is particularly popular.
