About this deal

Across his many adventures big and small, Scott has gathered the wisdom of countless amazing experiences into this, the first memoir from a real-life Avenger. There were some very heartfelt farewells to certain heroes and the letter to Cassie Lang was just so beautiful.

Who would have thought it, Scott Lang, big small guy who talks to ants and occasionally having a hand in saving the world, writing a book that may or may not blow your mind. Cap told me that in Age of Ultron, there was this one scene where Natasha said *insert quote directly from movie* and then Thor said *insert quote directly from movie* and then Cap said ‘yes’ and ultron said…etc. Dive into the pages of my new book, Look Out for the Little Guy , to read all about what it's like to be the little guy (and sometimes, the very, very big guy) overcoming all the odds to help defeat Thanos. Look Out for the Little Guy is the in-movie memoir by Scott Lang, also known as Ant-Man, that he’s written and shared with the world, as seen onscreen in the new Marvel Studios film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Ant-Man is one of my favorite characters is the MCU and I was so excited for this to be released, but it kind of fell flat for me with it's execution. Look out for the little guy’ is written so well with a great balance of humour and honestly thought provoking introspection. Along the way, you’ll hear about my story—Scott Lang’s story—from where I started to the (ant-) man I’ve become, and am still becoming. It also comes across a bit self helpy and introspective, with Scott reflecting on the impact of the decisions he made along the way and how these affected his life. That makes a total of 24 mentions of Luis by name throughout the book, which is 24 more times than he was mentioned in Quantumania.

Sure, there are still things I would have preferred otherwise - there's far too much on the underwhelming 'Civil War' and not nearly enough Luis - but on the whole it's an entertaining read. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The book is just a retelling of what happened in the Marvel movies, except there’s a twist: Scott wasn’t there for any of it! So, Scott Lang - Ant-Man has gone from being my favorite superhero (aside, of course, for Spider-Man.It's Scott telling the story covering the Ant Man movies, Civil War and End Game so there's a bit of going over those events and wee insights into what part Scott played. This book is a recap I would say, that takes you to the event after event and how they happened throughout the timeline of the MCU from Scott Lang's point of view. This is not the type of book I would normally read, mainly cause this is written like a self help book and I despise those kinds of books 😭 but hey this is written from the perspective of Scott Lang so like I couldn't not read it. These are stories of epic battles won and lost, as this everyman turned Super Hero finally tells all-from the official account of what really happened between the Avengers and Thanos to how shrinking down to ant size really feels to the challenges of balancing the roles of hero and dad.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free eARC in exchange for an honest review!Je n'ai plus qu'à aller le faire dédicacer par Ant-Man lui même quand j'irai à Disneyland à l'Avengers Campus ! In Look Out for the Little Guy , Scott Lang shares with the world a bracingly honest account of his struggles and triumphs, from serving time to being a divorced dad to becoming Ant-Man and joining The Avengers.
